FERAL is joining the ever-growing roster of SOURCE ATONE RECORDS for the release of their second album entitled ‘Spiritual void’. As a band celebrating their 8th anniversary, FERAL has reached new territories of violence compared to their previous album. The grindish influences have become more and more a landmark in an overall wall of sounds driven by the hm2 fame. The deal is quite simple: songs have to hook, groove and obliterate. ‘Spiritual void’, both lyrics-wise and song-wise, is a psychological pressure relief valve in the form of 12 tracks and around half an hour of ferocious grooves, blasts, and screaming growls.
‘Spiritual void’ is due out January 21st 2022 through Season of Mist distribution and all digital platforms. Pre-order start now on silver vinyl, black vinyl, digipack cd, and many bundles including music and exclusive merchandising: https://bit.ly/3r9SO8Q

Spain's Ànteros, comprised with ex-members of Toundra, Syberia and Viva Belgrado, is back with their second full album promisingly entitled 'Cuerpos celestes'. On the leading path of the debut 'Lunas', it returns to the postrock field with the epic, brutal and beautiful feel to it. With 'Cuerpos celestes', you are sailing through melodic and heavy postrock landscapes incorporated with elements of commanding rock and intense progressive metal. The layered guitar work and calculated instrumental frenzies are something to be admired as the rage and aggression pours forth on this release.

Long-time time pals Stuntman/400 The Cat/The Dawn are pleased to team up for this release and give some of their old stuff a second life, as a celebration of their long time connections in the local underground. The basic idea around this project was to dig out previously released material and bring it back on the tracks with pimped up to date versions. Personnel may have come and gone, line ups may have changed to unexpected names and numbers, but still the music lives, and still we share this passion. Enjoy songs taken from Stuntman’s The Target Parade, and The Dawn’s Loud Tunes And Furry Tales in their 2017 skin, and from 400 The Cat's 1st recording originally released on cd-r. All songs written and performed by Stuntman, 400 The Cat, The Dawn.

The debut album 'Necroracle' from Hong Kong's Karmacipher is pure aesthetic and maestry in the realm of dissonant metal. It stands out with a massive musicianship with the will to strike a perfect balance between the origins of death-metal and experimentations. That is really destroying, deep, dense, inducing a redemptive fatigue. Ambitious and terrifying at the same time.

Euglena have been pushing tunes to destroy your ears since their inception. This song offers more arpeggios than usually expected from them, but with force, with tremendous force. The riffage and the composition get the high level of score. This is plainfully straightforward.
Kolchak hails from St-Petersburg, Russia. This creature has decided to dispense vocals and provides us with an entirely instrumental sound where guitars, bass and drums take on the entire role. They belong to the postrock field with the epic, brutal and beautiful sides, with that little bit of commanding punk.

This split features 2 outstanding cover versions of the Cure favorites 'One hundred years' and 'Burn' by Membrane and Revok. This homage from 2 amazing noise bands comes as a genuine, and at times quite moving surprise, the Cure being a defined and re-defined alternative pop music for an entire generation of Goth-inspired fans and musicians. Obviously dark and draped in dramatic soundscapes that often obscure the magnetic pull of melodies, both interpretations bring something new without losing the initial creative impulse. Super indie.
Side A by REVOK: One Hundred Years (Pornography)
Side B by MEMBRANE: Burn (The Crow Soundtrack)

2 years from the their latest full-lenght 'Reflect your pain' MEMBRANE reemerge with a refined vision of their music. 'Erase' captures what is the concrete foundation of the trio, rooted in the post-metal landscape, and stepping out from the shadows to create a darker version of their musical signature.
Pounding and melancolic, which is a rightful juxtaposition of life's plain realities - a strong mind in a world weakened by full injuries. MEMBRANE continue still to forge an heavy heritage upon the scene.

After the highly acclaimed and imposing Lowgazers in 2014, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND returns with another milestone. 'False highs, true lows' stands alone with a music elegantly moving from pure black metal, sludge and noise. The repeating dark guitar harmonies, jackhammer drumming, and the fierce unrelenting screams are backed with a top-notch production. Not exactly the black metal cave-dwelling kind, to say the least. It suits the album perfectly and widen the ferocity to a higher level. Departing definitely from their post-hardcore debut, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND now dwells in the international extreme landscape. This is all about restrained fury and intimately suffocating layers of harmonies. Your next 2016 favorite record.

Cult metal maniacs MORGUE has returned to the scene in 2012 and here is the testimony. This is their third album, clearly bursting out this ferociously angry and awesome fierce grindcore. Stirring up a pissed off mix of evilish tunes and dissonant tones, this is all about modern grindcore though. France's MORGUE pound out a furious nine song grand fucking slam of a record.

The album comprises 11 tracks which are probably the most personal songs they have released until now, highlighted by the amazing work of Amaury Sauvé on recording and mixing, and Bob Weston on mastering. These tracks are inspired by their lives, their hopes and disillusions, with Paris as their background.

FRANCE's kill team GENERAL LEE returns with a sonic and fully abrasive album, hammering 10 songs of lawless intensity. This time more-than-ever bending their own rules of metallic hardcore and continuing to strenghten their place among the elite. Discordance and larsens all around.

France's HAUT&COURT unleash a beast of an album. They keep their music brutally simple and rumbling; a blend of muscular primitive thrash, D-beat punk, and downtuned grindcore, with totally forceful vocals. Yet including some artiness overall, pace shift and (almost) grooves, reliably bludgeoning and perfectly prurient. The sonic quality of the release is quite devastating and brutalizing. Not for the wicked.

MEMBRANE make a living from working with noise. From traditional ventures to more obscure times, creating compositions and soundscapes sounding close to epic ensembles. Welcome to their cruel world, namely 'Reflect your pain', their fifth album to date, enhanced with pounding patterns as the rhythmic basis goes, and brewing new ideas, noise-mongering for life. That should sound extremely obvious that pain is becoming pleasure as you go through it. 'Reflect your pain', outrageously made for master and slaves.

On this debut recording, PLEVRE just drive the nail in the head. Real anger and real hatred fueled into 8 real anti-stereotypic songs. Genres spreading widely and transcending into a massive block of rough sounds and screaming feedbacks. With a bit more than a year of existence (2013), PLEVRE prove right that they just commited a collection of musical crimes.

Impossibly loud sludge crumbling like hell rain. FANGE are an emphasis to the ripping-to-the-ear guitar tone spectrum, causing havoc and expansing to chaotic lenghts. The result is a crashing climax. Through 8 tracks of inferno, you’ll be torn apart.

Four years after «How Hate Is Hard To Define» and a pair of splits, here's the long-awaited second full-length from Toulouse, France's PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND. «Lowgazers» marks another impressive step in the band's quest of total aural devastation : armed with new drummer Ivo (Stuntman, PAL…), the four-piece picks the most dissonant and experimental aspects of black metal, hardcore and sludge to create an unreal vortex of desolation. From the first notes of "Thrvst", the band reaches new heights of intensity, switching from inhuman blast beats to slow-motion torture, while unorthodox guitar work and painfully shrieked vocals tear the listener from all quarters. Recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauvé (Birds In Row, Calvaiire, Death Engine…) then mastered at New Alliance East (Converge, Gaza, Xasthur), «Lowgazers»'s sounds commensurate to the band's vision, being a ruthless demonstration of power as well as an untouchable pinnacle in extreme music hybridization.

With Go up in smoke, ANORAK has given an album that holds up to their classic repertoire of grind 'n roll, delivering another milestone in their career. Inarguably ANORAK's most musically adroit and sonically punishing album to date, the quartet still thrillingly approach post-ambiances. Reinforcing their genuine affirmation of how extreme music can be, deprived off any obtuse interpretation. Grade-a music.

Red nation's Euglena is as dissonant as noise. Taking previous works to a higher level of revigorating apnea. The Russian know-how, plus a bit of an emotional power, steps up according a nauseous tendancy to urgent and tight riffs.

General Lee Raiders of the evil eye finds a band that has developed into more than just giants of the epic metal underground, they are now fully formed sonic titans. Departing a bit from earlier works, reshaping their sound, this mindblowing 7-track album is perhaps one of their absolute strongest albums thus far. It further reinforces how broad and captivating General Lee's abstract melancholia is. A decidedly harsh record with its disheartened tones and harsh, distorted yelled vocals. A must-have.

Tolosian plebs and long-time-no-see swiss cross their swords on this exclusive 10" split, each band carving their grooves with an unique twelve minute-long track.
On tail side, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND confirms their hegemony in terms of frightening chaos : the ghostly "I.W.W.O.Y.T.W.Y.W.O.M" starts like a long and punishing funeral procession, just before the thunder strikes the cortege. Becoming less hardcore-oriented and more experimental - while always sustaining a rare intensity, the band leaves their comfort zone with this hypnotic track swinging between sludge/drone and black metal.
Heads, after seven years of silence and a full-length "Initial" that left a deep impression, "A.F.D.N.T.E.D.E.V.L.S." marks the comeback of CORTEZ's acrid and corrosive noisecore. Still bass-less, still as harsh as ever, the swiss trio delivers a massive piece filled with a nearly luminous imperial slowness. An opportunity to check that the band hasn't lost its touch, entangling crushed rhythms and powerful emotional discharges.
